What is a Moss Bend GunDog

Moss Bend Retrievers training programs are designed to develop the perfect hunting retriever. MBR’s training programs are  specifically designed to produce an obedient, well-mannered, steady, focused, well conditioned, environmentally sound & physically conditioned “Gentlemans Gundog”. We have taken our incredible success training competitive retrievers at the highest level and developed a program to produce a superior hunting retriever. This program allows each dogs marking and handling abilities to be honed to the limit of their individual aptitudes. Our program allows us to produce a retriever taylored to our clients’ visions, preferences, and hunting style(s) and train their dogs to fit their specific needs. Client dogs will be worked five to six days each week.  We also include a handlers course designed to mesh you and your dog to give you the confidence in the blind that you're squeezing every drop out of your hunting buddy.

Intermediate GunDog Program

Steady to wing & shot - honoring(steady while other dog works)

Intro to real hunting situations

Requires Basic Program plus 2-3 months of additional training
